A safe, licensed home in Chiang Mai

SSELC operates two boarding houses in residential Chiang Mai. Both are fully licensed under Thai law and run by a Myanmar-speaking team that lives the same culture as the families we serve.

House #1 is 3 minutes from SBS International School — ideal for students enrolled there. House #2 is in the downtown area, 10 minutes from Chiang Mai University, ABA and Maya Mall — convenient for older students and a wider school radius.

Rooms start at THB 15,300/month, including all meals, utilities, school transport, supervision and study support.

Students at boarding house

Who is SSELC Thailand for?

−

Burmese families sending children aged 8–18 (mostly 10–18) to Chiang Mai for a better international education path — Cambridge, American, UK, IB. We serve families who can't relocate with their child, and students using Chiang Mai as a base while preparing onward study (US, UK, Germany).

Which schools do students attend?

+

Our main partner schools in Chiang Mai are SBS International School (Cambridge curriculum) and Ambassador Bilingual School / Academy (ABS/ABA) (American-Thai bilingual). We also place students in other Thai government, private and bilingual schools depending on age, level and budget.

What does the boarding house include?

+

Clean private/shared rooms with air purifiers, three nutritionally-balanced meals a day prepared on-site, 24/7 monitored security, daily hygiene supervision, school transport, homework support, and weekend activities. Rooms from THB 15,300/month.

How does the visa process work?

+

Children enrolled in a Thai school receive a Student Visa; one parent (or designated guardian) can apply for a Guardian Visa. SSELC guides families through MOFA stamping in Yangon or Naypyitaw, Thai Embassy certification, and document preparation. We are not a MOFA stamping agent — but we walk you through every step.

Do you offer free consultations?

+

Yes. We offer free virtual or in-person consultations to help parents pick the right school based on their child's personality, curriculum preference and budget. Contact us via Facebook Messenger, Viber +66 92 775 0533, or by booking a meeting at our new Yangon office (by appointment).

Can students apply for scholarships?

+

Absolutely. SSELC prepares applications for partner-school scholarships — our track record includes students obtaining up to 75% scholarships at SBS Chiang Mai. We coach students through entrance exams and scholarship interviews.
